PWA World Cup KOREA..... 2 days to go

I arrived in Ulsan 2 days ago. It was a long old flight via Frankfurt and with the 9 hour time difference I really need these few days before the competition to get over jet lag and prepare for the 1st World Cup of 2007.

The small town outside Ulsan where the comp is held is a strange kinda place, a bit like a ghost town, there are alot of shops and a few Karaoke bars but no people! The place is also full of “love” motels like the “You and I” motel that myself and half the racers are staying in. I think the normal clientele consists of couples or what not!

The beach and race site has a pretty good set up, we each get a tented pit area on the beach with a board rack and plenty of space for the sails. As only the top 30 guy’s are here we get much more space than usual, which is nice. The race area is really challenging with some hell chop and massive gusts, so I’m preparing for that in the run up to the start on Sunday.

During the event I’ll be doing a quick daily report for Windsurfjournal.com in their Pro corner! So check that out and I’ll update the site too.

Bellow are some pix, to give you the flavour of Korea, it really is different!
